AF Canyon

Sally, Whitney and I went mountain biking up American Fork Canyon yesterday.
The scenery was breathtaking.  I can't believe this is our backyard.

Sally and Whitney- two seriously tough and beautiful biker babes!

We couldn't get over the color of the sky.  Perfect blue!

This picture reminds me of the Little Critters Book that I read to Sage,  I was so Mad!
After the first climb on loose dirt with plenty of large rocks all over the trail, (not my favorite), Sally and Whit wanted to take pictures.  This picture makes me laugh because I couldn't even fake a smile.  "I got better!"

The Magical Kingdom

We spent four days enjoying Disneyland with our kids last week.  We had the best time together.  They are at perfect ages to enjoy the park- 10, 8 and 4.  We stayed at a fabulous hotel right next to the park.  We felt so spoiled.  Rick and I finally understand why people love Disneyland.  You just have to do it the 'right' way.  When our kids were tired, we'd go back to the hotel.  We loved the beautiful pool.  I loved the pool side service, "...yes, I'd like a steak sandwich and a steak sandwich.  Charge it to the Underhill's."  The kids loved the water slide and the hot tubs.  It really was a "magical vacation."

Love the leg cross

The Lego Store

Tatum was so excited to spend some of her own money she earned from doing her art camp this summer.
She found this handmade backpack and loved it.

End of day one.  Exhausted.
Space Mountain.  Sage really was tall enough.  She actually loved it.

Tatum, Seth and little Sage all rode the Tower of Terror!  I didn't even want to do that one, but I had to... for the kids.  I wish we would have bought the picture.  Sage's faced was sheer terror, while Rick and I were both smiling.  We're the best parents.
Big Thunder Mountain

End of day two.  Sage didn't make it through dinner.

Sage was thrilled to run into her friend Kennedy at Disneyland.  So cute.
The Meltdown, or the laugh that turns into a cry.
Dole Pineapple Whips, Yummy.

Splash Mountain

The kids loved their Mickey Mouse Waffles at the Story Teller's Cafe.
Sage loved Ariel's merry-go-round.  Rick and I took turns with her and riding our favorite roller coaster, California Screamin', with Tatum and Seth.

On our way home!  Great memories.

Off to Fiji

Rick's parents left today for the Suva, Fiji mission.  They are going to be on a remote island, Taveuni, for the next eighteen months.  We are so excited for them to be on their way. They've been planning this for so many years and it is finally here.
Jack and Jean gave a picture of them to each grandchild before they left.  Sage has hers right next to her bed.  All week she has been looking at it and saying, "I miss Grandma and Grandpa." Us too.  We wish them the best and are excited for the experiences that await them.

"Fiji or Bust!"

The kids were getting in as many hugs as possible.

I love and will miss Jack and Jeans yard.  We have so many great memories there.
Beautiful Wendy!

And they're off!
We love you and miss you!

Summer is Over

I wasn't ready for school to start this year and really didn't want our summer to end.  I was so anxious, and sad the first few days Tatum and Seth were gone.  The smiles on their faces the morning school started helped to make up for their absence!  They were ready.

They have to get up earlier this year as they are trying to make the bus in the morning.  I thought for sure Sage would want to sleep in... but no.  She was up and ready to wish them luck on their first day.
