So Ridiculous

We went to Lagoon, or "the goon" as Sage likes to call it, last week.  Holly told us about a show, Cirque Innosta, that we had to go see while we were there.  It was all very cool.  But the act below was so absurd and fascinating at the same time.  I couldn't stop laughing.

40 is the new 20

Forty has been on my mind for the last year.  I would have been happy to celebrate the big number quietly, but Rick had a better idea.  He wanted to have a seventies and eighties style roller skating party.  He went all out, I mean look at him!  Feathered hair, tight white pants, jewelry!  We couldn't stop laughing at each other as we drove up to Classic Skate.  The only bummer was a huge bummer.  He crashed hard on his mountain bike a few days earlier and broke his greater trochanter.  He wanted to go ahead and celebrate in spite of the fact that he wouldn't be able to skate.  He said, "I say we go ahead with the party, and you can skate past me on the side and give me high fives."  I love him!

My favorite part was watching my family and friends arrive.  It took us a minute to figure out who was who because everyone was decked out.  It made me feel so loved!  Thanks to all of you for making my night!

Rock on!

A few of the best booties!

Sam making the girls and boys jealous of his high, tight butt.

The guys only skate, I mean race.

Favorite Thing Ever

Laughing until I can't breathe is the best.  Making me laugh isn't too hard because, really, everything is funny in some way or another.  I have been known to laugh at inappropriate times.  I really can't help it.  It just comes out.  Like if you have thin ankles and tend to roll them when I am around- that is my favorite.  I think it is because of the feeling I know the person is having at that moment, the hot flash and the thought "oh crap, am I going down?"  Luckily my brother in law, Dug, has very thin ankles and I usually luck out by being there when he rolls one.  Thanks Dug.

Laughing with my kids is another favorite.  On this day Tatum was doing her homework.  Sage, who is 3, wanted to do her "homework" too.  She drew a picture of a person with a tiny body, a big head, and really long legs.  When Tatum saw it she couldn't stop laughing.  Neither could I.

I wanted to post it because I love how laughter is contagious.  I still remember a lady who made my day fourteen years ago.  Rick and I were eating lunch at a local Einstein's.  This lady sitting near us started laughing really really hard, and didn't stop for the next 20 minutes.  I have no idea what it was about, but she made my day.  Rick and I started laughing because she was.  It's true, it's contagious.  I say spread the laughter!
