Marilynn's

Last summer, I was lucky enough to meet Marilynn.  She invited Sally and me to spend a weekend with her and a few other friends at her beautiful ranch in Idaho.  It was a spiritual and physical retreat.  We ate amazing food, enjoyed incredible scenery, and studied the scriptures for 6-8 hours a day.  I felt like I was back in the MTC.  It was one of those experiences that enhance your perspective on life, and strengthens your faith.

Marilynn is an incredible woman of faith.  She used her faith to help start an education program in Africa that has blessed the lives of so many.  On one of her trips over there she met a young man who wanted attend medical school but didn't have the means.  So she decided she'd find a way to pay for his tuition.  She bakes bread monthly and donates all of her time and ingredients to the cause.  She sells her rolls to friends and neighbors and then uses the money to pay for his education.

My children have been blessed by knowing her as well as myself.  They come with me to pick up orders of her amazing rolls, and bread.  Then they help me deliver them to friends.  It has been so fun to watch as they come to understand how they can help serve others they have never met.

Marliynn offered to teach Tatum and her friends how to make her delicious bread. She hosted a birthday party for Tatum and taught the girls how to make rolls, french bread, cinnamon rolls, and cheddar bread.  Marilynn is an incredible baker.  Her rolls melt in your mouth!  You can see by the smiles on the girls faces how much fun they had.
