My ticket!

Tatum most certainly will be my ticket to Heaven. She is only nine and has already figured out that serving others is the way to go. Last year we watched Extreme Home Makeover together as a family every week. That show got Tatum thinking. She asked me if she could do some service and donate to a charity for her upcoming 9th birthday. OF COURSE!

So we made a plan. Tatum and I love to paint, and draw and create. We love to buy new art supplies. What is it about a fresh notebook, newly sharpened pencils and a great pen? Love it. We looked at some different local charities and Tatum decided she wanted to do something for the sick children at Primary Children's Hospital. First, she asked all of her friends to come to her party and help make a few no sew fleece blankets for the children at the hospital. Next, she asked them to bring some art supplies to donate to the hospital instead of buying a gift for her.

Her party was a huge succes. The girls had so much fun knowing they were doing something to help other children. The blankets turned out great and the smile on their faces was so overwhelming to me. That is what we are here to do right? Help each other. Thanks friends!
